For the last gig of her sell-out tour Nina Zilli will play in London, bringing a cocktail of past and recent music; soul, rocksteady/reggae, beat music and “canzone italiana” (Italian vocal pop songs)- the great loves of Nina’s life!
Nina has been nominated for the Best Italian Act award in the latest MTV Europe Music Awards (2010) and is undoubtably the Italian revelation of the year. If you love music you simply can’t miss the performance of one of the most exiting Italian female voices of the moment; think Amy Winehouse meets Italian diva Mina (in the late fifties and sixties) and you’ve got the idea!
The gig includes tracks from the recent album “Sempre Lontano” (already a Gold Album), mixed with great covers that have influenced Nina’s music, from Alton Ellis to Solomon Burke, Adriano Celentano and Etta James, to name just a few.
Nina will be accompanied on stage by excellent musicians such as Gianluca Pelosi (bass guitar), Nico Roccamo (drums), Antonio Vezzano (guitar), Marco Zaghi (sax), Riccardo Gibertini (trumpet) and Angelo Cattoni (keyboards).
