SUBSONICA @ European Tour 2012

We have the pleasure to introduce you SUBSONICA, one of the most-loved Italian groups, of the last two decades.

Subsonica broke down the barriers between the world of rock and electronic language realising a number of albums which turned out to be a series of successes one after another. With their second album “MICROCHIP EMOZIONALE” of 1999 Subsonica became known to the general public. They won a number of prizes, among which the Premio Italiano della Musica ( PIM – a kind of grammy award ), and the same prize as best group. They also won the Mtv European Award, as best Italian group. In January of 2002 they realised “AMOREMATICO” which containde a number of unforgettable hits, like “Nuvole Rapide” and “Nuova ossessione”, made in collaboration with the Krisma: the historic duo of the Italian New Wave of 1977.

More than two years after the release of Amorematico, the band met up again to prepare a new studio album. They choosed to no longer use computers to write the tracks, but to try a path that was more involving. In April 2005 they realised “TERRESTRE” characterised by a rock sound, but still with an electronic impact. The album, immediately reached n.2 in the Italian charts and two weeks later went n.1, replacing Bruce Springsteen. In 2007 they realised l’Eclissi, which followed the same stylistic drection of the previous, with a mixture of rock and dance but distinguished by some inner reflections of a band who was aproaching to an age of “maturity”.

After Eden, each member of SUBSONICA, took a break, and worked on solo projects, untill 2011, when the band released their latest studio album, Eden.

Eden became a big success, with a tour sold out almost everywhere. Their audience remains wide as It was at the beginings, and goes from socially active kids, to lovers of live music, to the dance nation, to adolescents from the suburbs. While theyr lirics are sometimes tormented, full of urban solitude, sometimes vital and reactive, sometimes political, but always distant from easy rhetoric.

Opening act the GESAMTKUNSTWERK an italian newly formed band, oriented to experimentalism, able to swithc from the very basic electronics of the 80′s, to a fine electro-pop, or rock ballads revisited with a modern electro-punk. The band is powered by the contest Edison Change the Music, an Eco friendly Italian contest that selected from a big number of acts the Brandnew music underlining a respectfull way of living in a green world.

All this and much more for an electro-rock night at high adrenailine content in the heart of Camden!!
